Giving your puppy the best!

Crate training

Here at Samantha's Goldendoodles we know that once you get your puppy home you would like for everything to go smoothly and want a very healthy pup. In order to give you just that, we fully crate train our puppies. Crate training teaches the puppies many things. First and foremost they are fully weaned from mom by then but they still see her periodically which hinders separation anxiety. Then of course they are crate trained separately but right next to each other. This way my puppies stay clean from each others messes (poop) and have their own excrement filtered through the grated floor onto a tray filled with pine pellets. This does two things, it keeps each puppy cleaner and healthier (from getting extra types of worms) because they cannot simply jump all over each other in a box that they have pooped in (which you cannot keep clean at all times), it keeps them happier as well. They have play time with each other during the day and they are learning the most important piece which is to be able to play alone, and together and be alone for spans of time which is what just about every puppy family needs as they go to work outside of the home. This is also helpful in the transition of your puppy from breeders home to his/her new home. I'm told my puppies sleep all night the first night!! Some may cry for a short time but then relax and settle down.

Boarding your puppy after original pick up day

I always schedule my puppy pick ups on Saturday morning after they have gone to the vet for vacc. and health check. I will also schedule on the Friday evening before as well. If for some reason the normal scheduled pick up day and date do not work for you and we can't accommodate you for pick up on that weekend at all, (Sundays are not regular pick up days but if you need I will do early mornings), but if you have to pick up later it will have to be the following weekend as I don't schedule pick ups during the week. After the pick up weekend I would have to "board" your puppy for you. You would then need to send the balance in full for the puppy along with a specified fee for boarding for however many days have been agreed to. Fee to board per day *subject to change* is $35 per day. Let me know ahead if you think you may need to board. Payments MUST be sent first for puppy balance and the complete boarding fee for days specified. If you do not pick up your puppy on the day and time agreed you will forfeit the puppy and all the money you paid for the puppy and boarding. You will be asked to sign a contract. I will board up to 3 weeks after normal pick up.
